So, I thought that I knew Jeeps, until I met Mr. Blaine. I have met him personally a couple times and he helped me out. A lot. But THAT was after my questioning his skills. Questioning who he was.

He can be abrasive.

In this, probably my last and final new thread on this Jeep forum due to health issues: I hope that some of you, Bransford, etc, if you are still around:.. Can extrapolate Mr. Blaine.

But, what really gets this old man's goat, Possibly on my death bed.... Is Mr Blaines ICON. He WAS and IS the Wizard. Sir, you are and were the Wizard. I doubted you, and I was proved wrong when I met you in person. A hardcore personable man of integrity.

Jeeping to me was the great and good times overcoming the hard obstacles and getting thru. Mr Blaine with his abrasive post IS the one you want.

God Bless. I hope to see ya'll in the next life.

EDIT: Bring back the Wizard you arrogant SOB.

Eric

No idea what you're going through, but I'll be praying for you and yours. I know the message/post was about Blaine's incredible knowledge of things, but your health and wellbeing is what stands out to me as the most pressing matter. May you find strength and comfort in whatever you're going through, my friend, and may God Bless you and your family.

Godspeed, Good Sir.

Several months after purchasing my Jeep the SKIM system immobilizer module had a problem and the Jeep would not stay running.
With the ECU programmed for SKIM I could not drive the Jeep.
A long time knowledgeable Jeep friend contacted Mr Blaine about the problem and a work around was installed until a new module was located.
I have talked with Mr Blaine several times in person and he leaves a lasting impression as an knowledgeable individual who exudes confidence.
Mr Blaine is a unique individual who continues to help Forum Members with questions, problems and recommendations.
Many thanks to Mr Blaine for all that he does in the Jeep community.

Having helped multiple people who are staring into the face of the inevitable end we each face, the one common thread across all of them is a desire to set things right. God bless you for having the strength, wisdom, and courage to do that. It sets a positive example for others to follow and helps make the one shot we get at life much more pleasant and rewarding. Thank you for all you've done, and my prayers are with you, your friends, and family. FWIW, Jeeps have also helped me through some very hard times, so God bless you and Godspeed fine sir! 🙏

You're spot on about Blaine. I've met him in person and any interaction anyone has had with him online doesn't compare to the guy in person. He's still rough around the edges, he's still a no b.s. type of guy. However, if you're willing to listen, learn, and ask the right questions, there is nobody better in the TJ community than Blaine.

I'll see you in Heaven fine sir! Tell the Lord when you see him that we need him down here more than ever. Viya con dios!

I don't know what got you where you are right now but if there is anything I can do to make it even a tiny bit more pleasant, let me know and I'll do my best for you.

Thank you all. I made it thru the night with this illness and I didn't think I would. I am ashamed that in my delirium; I posted.

It's funny what comes to mind in an altered / medicated state. Jeeps. Lost friends. Knowledgeable people that surprised us. Wise men and women. And the fools too... I have been one many times.

Don't worry about me, Yeah, I am ill, but I have my Faith. One door closes slowly and another one opens.

In an attempt to salvage my misstep in posting last night, I hope some can share what Mr. Blaine has done for each of you.

Or Chris, just delete this whole post.

My apologies to all. Especially to Mr. Blaine.

Be well. Jeep on.

Eric

Send him Jerry's box of Savvy stickers.
I'm not quite sure why the obvious solution managed to escape Jerry's attention but I did with them what he should have and sent them to Gerald after he sent them to me. I have a sticker guy, if I wanted those particular stickers, I know how to get them.

Thank you guys. I appreciate the thought, but don't need stickers. I am unloading a bunch of jeep, motorcycle and other stuff from the years.

I just think that Mr Blaines forum icon should be the cartoon wizard. Lol No harm, no foul.

How many of your ex's did you contact?

That's where the real embarrassing stuff comes from

Glad you're here in the morning to be embarrassed

Dude, there's absolutely NOTHING to apologize for. Sharing things like you did is a win-win for everyone, both you and us. Now my theology differs from most here, but my intent does not. So I'll just say "Goddess Bless", you'll be in Her loving arms soon from what you're saying - and the fact that you are willing to talk about this openly means that you are ready for this journey. So many are afraid to discuss what is inevitable to us all - and we are the poorer for it. Myself, I think death is a divine gift. Like birth, its a messy biological process that isn't necessarily pleasant, but once through the veil, you'll be just fine - Dance In Joy! Enough psychobabble from me!

The key to getting along with Blaine: If he calls you a fucking idiot, you should embrace that you might actually be a fucking idiot. Once you have faced reality, you can move on towards correcting bad Jeep decisions. Trying to blame them on the previous owner will get you through a few months. After 5+ years, you can't use that excuse anymore and just have to blame yourself.
