3D printed pod light mounts

Be interesting to see how they hold up!
So far they seem solid, I've done a bit of off-roading and some freeway miles. And these are just my first prototype prints, 1 of them I didn't print at 100% infill AND one of the torx bolts stripped so it's just being held on by 1 bolt right now.
I also got a light bar though so now I think I I'm gonna have to buy some of these brackets for that so idk if Ill be using these 3d prints long term. But I'm also considering designing some 3d printed light bar mounts that would mount it under the windshield. Not sure if that would reflect too much light off the hood though.

Seriously though, I dig the low-mount 2-pod look. Not sure how the material will hold up to the sun & heat, but nice work regardless.

A guy here in Florida makes aluminum low mount,if he ever list em on facebook again I’ll pick up some

Lol I'll have lockers by next winter though if I can find someone local who wants to help me, I'm not interested in paying a shop to do it for me entirely, I just need more space and maybe a little guidance.

Yep,you will get there,you will have so much work done to it,you will never get your money back from all the time you have in it,but dam it’s fun working on these things.
Does that plastic allow you to tighten those bolts to the factory torque specs?
If you know the torque spec I can check. But I have a tendency to overtighten bolts and I felt like they're tight enough.

If you are worried about the UV exposure, I would give ASA a shot, it's a good balance of affordable, UV resistant, and ease of printing.
