It's either that or let her drive the 5sp F150...

Well after a run to Harbor Freight 2 hours into the job last night, to purchase a slide hammer set. 5 minutes later I got the unit bearing out.
Got everything put back together and couldn't find one of the caliper bolts
story of my life.
Looked all over the floor, no where to be found.
Like 5 minutes and the job would have been done..
BAM the power goes off, granted the wind was howling outside, said screw it, went in the house and used rechargeable light to see how to shower and went to bed.
Gonna order new bolts today and finish the Japanese engineering disaster tonight.

I'll remember that - I paid about 30 cents more from a different outfit.
Nice day today so I thought I'd fire up the DeSoto and back it out to sweep up the leaves and whatever else blew in over the winter. Battery said, "Nope, not today." So I didn't back the DeSoto out.

I'm a big ole brokie so I have 1 HF tender and I switch it between 3 batteries on my garage floor every now and then. Well, 2 now, I slacked for a bit and the AGM died for good. Whoops

Wire in a battery cut off switch like they use on boats and the battery will make it through the winter without tenders.
I now have tenders on all 5 vehicles, a Deltran 5 amp on the Superduty with a bumper mounted inlet, Victon 5 amp on the MH with a pigtail plug under the front bumper, NOCO 2 amp on the Infinity with a bumper mounted inlet, NOCO 2 amp on the TDI with the cord coming out thru the grill and NOCO 2 amp on the TJ with the cord poking out by the pass side tow hook. So all of them can be connected and disconnected without opening any hoods.

My daughter's car is getting a water pump. Stupid Ford engineers used a funky pulley that needs a "special" puller that goes for about $170 instead of a regular pulley that uses the tool everyone already has. I followed the instructions from a YouTube video to pull it, but it got warped, so not I have to order a new pulley. Still cheaper than to tool though and WAY cheaper than paying someone to do it.
Doing this did give me an excuse to pick up a new tool though. Anyone ever used one of the Vacuum coolant fillers? Supposed to eliminate all air from the cooling system while filling it. Really slick for any cars that have a tendency to keep air pockets and eliminates the bleeding process (hose squeezing) you have to do on almost all cars.

I've got a coolant vacuum filler. Very nice for a car whose coolant system is U shaped. Haven't used on the joop yet
I am a little scared the 23 year old plastic and rubber parts may implode if I use it on the Jeep. I replaced all the rubber in the coolant system just a few months ago, but it still worries me.
I used it on a radiator and some hoses that were 38 years old if that helps! No leaks
