Sony XAV-XA3200 Head Unit Install

I went with this adapters. I should have done this earlier, but I was too busy just enjoying the new unit.

Like you I just grounded that wire so it didn’t matter if my parking brake was on for rear camera or fresh BT connections. 👍🏼

Looks like I’ll be snagging that! I totally would have gotten lost in the sauce enjoying the new unit too. I’ll have to get an AI generated image of my Jeep like @AndyA.

Speaking of which, what resolution did you use Andy? Or does it not matter

Just realized my cable is a usb-c female, so I need a usb-c male to usb female. Guessing your unit must be opposite?

Updated today with the nearly instant delivered adapter.

Worked perfect. So far no errors. Before I was having one error regarding loading changes.

Good to hear! Looks like you “VOL” letters are also not lit up, wasn’t sure if it was intentional on my unit but now I know! I think I might grab a screen protector next 🤔

Right, the VOL letters are not lit up. The + and - are intuitive and I don’t even need to look at this point. I have a glossy screen protector on it, but it’s too reflective. I ordered a matte and it’s arriving in a couple days.

Mind dropping me the link for the matte one? Haha

For updating the 5600, I connected a usb-a flash drive to my 1.5ft (iirc) usb-a adaptor, which lives behind the dash just above where you can see it.

Do you not load firmware into the 6000 similar to this? Or, is it the same concept, but your flash drive is a usb-c?

Same concept, but the wire connector from the unit is a female USB-C, so I needed a male USB-C to female USB-A adapter to upload from a common USB-A flash drive.

There was another way to do it that described USB tethering. It was 15-20 min in comparison to 5 min, so i didn’t bother with that route.

Hello all.

I have the same stereo in my 2005 TJ Rubicon and didn´t liked the Sony mic on the sunvisor, so i took your idea but made a little different bezel (rounded shape), printed in PLA and mounted on the windshield trim.

Here is the STL file if anyone want to use it.

May be i will install a front camera in the future using your design. Thanks for sharing!
