What did you do to your TJ today?

All finished up. My S&W fits fine along with my Fenix LR-35 flashlight. For now I'll use the rag and the soft holster to protect against getting knocked around but I'll probably cut out a piece of foam to fit things in. Might decide to carry different stuff at times.
A few people are disappointed that you can't leave the Tuffy unlocked with the key removed and I might change the lock to a 2 position-2 keypull one but if you do this you need to install some sort of handle because there is nothing to grab ahold of to slide the drawer open with the key out. At the very least I may change to an Ace lock.

You can also do it to the passenger side, and key them alike.

Started prepping the LJ for some overhaul this weekend. Going to finish up my DIY rear wiper, install my new Sony CarPlay radio, and replace my skid plate bolts. Starting to consider a 1” body lift too, down the rabbit hole I go.

Can anyone confirm I don’t need a skid plate drop for a 2.5” lift on an LJ? @Chris I saw your comment on another thread, just want to double check!

Most likely you won’t. I have 3” lift and haven’t had any issues. Mine is a Rubicon so it doesn’t have a slip yoke, but I don’ think that will make a difference.

I did read on the LJ’s you can run 35’s without regearing/ upgrading shafts, that is if you plan on staying on the road

People can do anything they want to their Jeep. I knew a guy with a 4 cylinder Jeep, 36" tires, and stock gearing. He bashed the crap out of that Jeep and never broke his Dana 35. It worked for him, and he was fine with it. 🇺🇸

These came this week. Warmer weather project.

Being way undergeared hasn't necessarily stopped me from doing what I want to do... But it sure can be annoying in a lot of ways, off-road and on

Or ducks on my dash.🤣

Take it from me it is a pitiful experience to be at the local supermarket, parking lot with quite a few Jeeps loaded with ducks, while I remain with a empty pond. I don't get it how these people, like they hate a TJ, won't even part with a frigging one. I mean this is rubber duck territory! You know... like giving a french fry to a hungry seagull begging at McDonalds. I come out from the stores, wishing & hoping for a duck, while my heart sinks as I get closer...

Next month it will be a year since I bought my almost stock TJ and I did a lot of work to it both mechanical & cosmetic. To all you guys who are bombarded with ducks, no matter where you go, please supply some pointers on what I'll have to do next to get a stinking duck on my dash. Have plenty of ducks from family displayed on a garage "duck shelf" so there goes a easy way out. All suggestions, no matter how unpleasant they may seem, will be considered and the expense will be supplied within reason. In case anybody says to install a snorkel I'm going to refrain doing so because there are two Jeeps in my area of NJ and I won't stoop to that level. Here is a picture or two where it stands now...

Count it a privilege that they don't duck your Jeep.

I look at it as a blessing when I don't get ducked!!!!!!

It’ll happen in due time! I wondered the same thing then randomly at a red light in my town a dude ran up and set one on my dash since I didn’t have my doors on. I reversed back and chatted with him for a sec 😂
