I love the 6 speed manual behind my duramax. When I first bought my tj I had plans to install an nsg. It was disappointing to find out how hard it can be to get a good one. I'd still try one if I could find a low mile upgraded one.
If you were to pick a transmission that followed the commensurate build philosophy that you are applying to the rest of the rig, that transmission wouldn't even make the top 5 spots for choices. No, you're not. However, my real-world experience with the 6 speed is very limited. Although I've owned my LJ for 3-1/2 years, I've driven it less than 10,000 miles, and it only has about 55k on it right now. I may come to hate it - time will tell.
Understood. Ratios-wise, it's so perfect - I want to like it!If you were to pick a transmission that followed the commensurate build philosophy that you are applying to the rest of the rig, that transmission wouldn't even make the top 5 spots for choices.

No, not really. You're comparing managing your personal finances with managing those of a business.
Yes, I like my NSG also.
And I would love to find a reputable rebuilder. Short of that, it will be ax-15 swap.
New transmission arrives tomorrow at the terminal.
They sent a different one, yes hi impact warranty the one that I installed
Need to go buy $100 in redline oil so I can service it. The paint looks good…
