I already have full PSC steering, so I don't wonder what the alternatives are.

$526 for a Readhead, that ain’t cheap. If I pay that much there better not be an inch of slop. I still have a solid 2
Inches with my new Lares

Also had a lares box but it felt better than the redhead I took off until it snapped a sector shaft. I guess I’m going back to the redhead for now.

Similar question about steering gearbox. My Jeep is starting to wander pretty bad side to side with a fair amount of play in the wheel. If I can't find anything in dry steering test is steering gearbox the next step?

I'm sure you can find similar steps lots of places, but as part of the Redhead ordering process they have you go through some steps to verify that the gear is shot before you order. So I might try that regardless of what you end up buying.
