Starting over: A lightweight Rock Crawling Daily Driver

Are you going to add dedicated backup lights?

Not at this point, I was going to recess some Kc Cyclone lights but those are in storage wherever the restoration company is holding our things so for now it’ll be just the plate.

More than likely I’d be running it as designated chase lights instead of reverse lights, most of the trails I do involve very thick dust that very much calls for an extra level of visibility.

Build as auxiliary reverse lights with a bypass switch to use as chase lights.

Are these Rubicon flares? Looking at them in the photos they appear so but they’re a good hour away from me, what’s the consensus?

Finally painted the sliders 😁

I hate to be 'that guy' but I scanned back in the thread and didn't see any prep of the inner side of the sliders. (apologize if I missed it)

Did you remove them when you painted them or just paint the exterior?

If not, you're just asking for the raw steel to rust, trap water, and rust the tub....

Just looking out for your future by asking...

I pulled them and painted both sides lol, it was already trying to rust the tub a bit which is what prompted to pull them and paint in the cold.

I appreciate the concern.

I just didn’t post any of the work just the finished product.

Made the mistake of calculating fuel economy yesterday, with the 33s I got 10.6 mpg, o2 sensors are new ngk, gonna swap the air filter and spark plugs see if that makes a difference, but with how much I drive this is going to get old very fast.

The highest I think I've ever gotten was 11.2 on the drive to Moab (also on 33s)
