Pull back the carpet. They'll be pretty obvious once you do. Plus, you should probably pull the carpet out anyway to wash them off and clean anything underneath that just got wet.

If you had mud, debris, etc under the carpet, it's now soaked and sitting on your paint. You're asking for long-term trouble if you don't get in there and clean it out so it doesn't hold moisture against the paint.

Leave the window open or are you in search of a leak?

ok thanks, I think ill just take the carpet out and leave it out. yeah Ill be in search of the leak once I solve the immediate problem of getting the water out.

I do not have the monies to fix now. I will go easy on her, just light wheeling at the range. I would much rather swap it out with a Dana 44 before new rims and tires. Afterthought some fab work required for the FABTECH kit with a Dana 44 swap

That occurred to me last nite as I was going to sleep. That would just let it breathe.

I thought I had edited my original post but I must not have saved it.

Thinking back, I think the OEM skid has a recess around the bolt holes and I had to use 2 or 3 washers per bolt to make a small gap. My current UCF skid is flat and I only needed 1 washer.

I did the washer spacer idea on mine for years and it all still developed surface rust over time. It's a good idea but, for me, it didn't prove out in practice. Tub and skid still had rust when I dropped them.

Likely less rust, but it still needs to be dropped and re-sprayed after time - dependent on the region (winter salt, sea air, etc.).

Going to say the antenna is a little bit on the negative side which is to be expected it being shorter. On the very strong stations by me it works fine... same as with stock antenna without the ball on the end. HD still drifts depending on what area I'm in. It being "thicker" than the thin OEM antenna it does shake around a bit at higher speeds which I do find somewhat annoying in the beginning but no big deal now. Since I'm a old guy (72) with over 300+ rock & blues CD's from years past that are now converted to Mp3 I listen to the USB stick mostly. My grand daughter (10) has turned me on to Country music (Luke Bryran, Toby Keith, Jason Aldean etc) so I'm going to explore, new to me, music.

I listen to a lot of country, and I am rock ‘n’ roll at heart.

Not much new rock music grabs me.
I wish the country artist would back off the drinking theme a few 6 packs. @Hog turned me on to Sturgill Simpson on the lake recently. Hog is a connoisseur of all the breaking artists.

@John Cooper plays the soundtrack to my life when we wheel.

@tr21triton is a big Madonna and Beyonce’ fan. About 280lbs. Around the campfire he will break into a medley of Cher songs and dance. It gets weird.


I’m of the opinion the music that we listen to as we reach adulthood is what stays with us the longest.

This has been fun and can’t wait for him to get it back. Oh by the way. I’m going on a Tiger Cruise. That’s a 3 day 2 night Cruise on an active duty US Navy ship.

It does indeed. I "think" I have a workable solution, I'll see upon re-assembly.
 
Nice looking rig! Any observations on the KO3's? Especially vs the KO2?

We just put KO3's on the JLU Willys, I am seriously impressed with their wet weather manners and they sure ride smooth. I really liked the KO2's I run on the LJ during the winter but they definitely have been knocked down a notch
