Still too warm. Who cares.

It’s all about the mental break.

You’re an above average tinkerer- I would personally skip the lock Tight and use anti seize. It’s not a big deal to re check those in a few months if there was concern. I would also clean the frame and skid and just repaint. Extra coats for added protection. Not sure about a gasket there being adequate in holding moisture out or potentially in 🤷

I always use locktite on driveshaft bolts. Always.

Seems reasonable , It may have not been clear I was only talking about the shovel though.

Although all my previous drive adventures there was a lock washers ….but there was that one time I dropped the front part of the rear driveline ….going down the highway… perforated the cab floor and grabbed a little dirt as I peel off onto the shoulder…wish my 17yr self had used locktite that day! 👍

Those marks on the carrier are from the pinion being loose. Either now or in the past. I wouldn't drive it at all if the pinion yoke has in/out or side to side play.(not rotational, side to side)

Pinion bearings, seal and a new crush sleeve are on the agenda if it is loose

Currently looking at revolution pinion kits $120,00-$140.00, and set of tools from harbor for now
East Coast Gear? a little more affordable

Oh, well then, I always use never seize on my skit plates🤣🤣

Okay, found very detailed video for arb install on a Dana 30, which brings up questions I have on my front diff I just buttoned up, but I think this job will be out of my realm with axle in place on jack stands. I going to try see more with inspection mirror I am sure pinion is still making contact with arb housing. Pinion not shimmed in right from get go? Is my guess. You got time check out video. This guy does not care for Dana 35 rears either, I will search for ARB install Dana 35.✌️

I guess the question is, what's your question?

You don't need mirror, just run a pattern and it will tell you everything you need to know.

Ok, I did run a thin piece of cardboard around the gear mark on locker and spun around. I will find something for gear pattern

Put it on yesterday so allow me some time to give you an honest opinion. My OEM antenna was OK but missing the "ball" on its end so don't know if that made a difference. Being retired I don't have to travel too much anymore and my North/West area is very mountainous so stations would drop the HD signal every so often. Will see if this antenna improves that or make it worse.

Curious on your antenna useability. I live between 2 cities and get about 50% decent depending which way I drive. And that's on the OEM longer antenna.

You're not the first I've seen go to a lower profile antenna so curious your experience, given your area.

Going to say the antenna is a little bit on the negative side which is to be expected it being shorter. On the very strong stations by me it works fine... same as with stock antenna without the ball on the end. HD still drifts depending on what area I'm in. It being "thicker" than the thin OEM antenna it does shake around a bit at higher speeds which I do find somewhat annoying in the beginning but no big deal now. Since I'm a old guy (72) with over 300+ rock & blues CD's from years past that are now converted to Mp3 I listen to the USB stick mostly. My grand daughter (10) has turned me on to Country music (Luke Bryran, Toby Keith, Jason Aldean etc) so I'm going to explore, new to me, music.

Thanks for circling back!

Sounds about as expected given the deltas to the OEM design.

Got turned onto Country in the early 2000s and been a big fan of it since (less so some of the newer stuff, but that goes with any music as you age, I suppose...). Turned my wife to country as well. Enjoy. It'll be a fun bonding opportunity with your granddaughter.

Got the new backup lights wired in.

Look up Zach Top. This guy sounds straight from the early to mid 90's.
