Has anyone ever painted their soft top successfully? I've been thinking about getting one of those Spyder shades but thought it'd be cool to add some white or silver details on my current soft top. I've been thinking some sort of outdoor fabric paint would work but if anyone has had success with something I'd love to hear about it.

I've never seen anyone with it done but heck I don't see why not!
Just use a durable paint... I'm thinking air brush would work best and not a solid coat of paint (solid coat would probably crack with movement).
I have an air brush, I'm thinking some sort of heavy duty fabric paint might work. I think it will be cool since I can't take my top off often. I'm not strong enough to get it back on over the light bar and to clip it by myself. D:
Next question is, what would look kewl on it? I have smoke, bullet holes, skulls and stars on my jeep. I was thinking more stars or "TOMB RAIDER" someplace.
I'm painting my trailer to look like the maps from tomb raider as well.

Now that's a hard decision! I would really like to have the Death Star from Stat Wars airbrushed on the inside of my hard top...

A cool faded looking star would look nifty on that soft top.

A deathstar would be easy, you could probably even just use a template and can of spray paint. Just make sure the top is off your jeep first.

A faded star would be really nice.

Paint is all about prep. The same principal applies to painting fabric as it does to painting cars.

Leather (and other materials) don't come the color you get them from the cow. The leather is all treated, prepped and dyed.

So, if you were to take the time to prep your soft top and paint it with the right stuff, it could work. However, I suspect that it's more effort than it's worth (you could probably buy a replacement top for cheaper if you count your time as money as well).
