I'll just leave this here as a suggestion or inspiration for your exhaust...
I'll have to do some looking on that one. But I think they meant for you to put the part that screws into the adapter before the second flare. Would it fit between the two?
EDIT: @lBasket got it figured out for ya...
@lBasket if you try that fitting out make sure to let us all know if it works or not. Just cause it's a Yota doesn't mean that we're not interested.
Thanks Rick. I will try it. That looks suspiciously like the fitting that came with my fuel regulator kit, which is for a 2GR. But the 2AR has a 5/16th fuel rail so it didn't work but they also make that in 5/16th. Might be just what I needed.
Will do! I try to keep you guys updated but progress is slow. It's gotta be lower priority than keeping the jeep or truck running, or stuff around the house unfortunately lol.
I do hope it helps. Priorities? Damn man talking such foolishness.
I'll let you know!
It does suck. Gotta fix the Jeep so that I can fix the truck. It is a fun circle of life.
If it would stop freaking raining maybe I could get some done at the end of the day but I just don't have the willpower to go lay in wet gravel lol
Yeah I hate doing it lol. If I had to pay a contractor to do what I am doing slowly over time it'd be $$$$$ cos they'd bring like a skid or something. So I just gotta deal with it. I definitely think I run out of motivation before I run out time honestly, I still mostly get big things done only on weekends.I have yard work I keep trying to farm out to a local kid because I don't want to do it. If I had to work a 40 week my Jeep wouldn't get worked on near as much as it does now...
I have a carport but it isn't really tall enough to lift the vehicle high enough to be convenient. The Jeep won't even fit under it lol.You need a garage or at least a carport so you have a dry spot.

Funny enough there is actually a section of my house that used to be a 1 car garage and at some point someone [shoddily] converted it into living space. I've been considering re-converting it. They didn't put any heating in the room (every other room is baseboard heating, so it's super obvious) and it feels like they just laid LVP over concrete (there is a noticeable step-up) so you'd never really treat it like an inside room anyways.

BBK headers will be here NLT Monday. Figure they were worth the look and if needed I can always return them if they don't work. Then if they don't fit I'll cut the bellhousing.
Edit: I found them for a cheaper price thru American Muscle since they offer a military discount.
If you don’t need the interior space, I’d do that in a heartbeat, Trev.
If it's one of those metal carports, just lift it with a jack and blocks. If it's wood post in the ground, you can still lift it, but it's a little harder.
It is wood, I don't think it could be easily moved unfortunately because it shares shingles and a wall with a shed (which is then attached to the house). It does look like they built the rock for the driveway up inside the carport making it shorter... But desire to shovel it out and have my carport be a pit that might fill with water is low![]()
Well, that complicates things. Before you go shoveling, I’d find a skid steer (rent or hire). Don't you need to do a little drainage work too? Could be a one-two.![]()
Good call. It's also nice to have the extra housing as you mentioned. I'm sure you have plenty to do between now and Monday.
Also, you can still fire her up with just the headers on there, just sayin![]()
It would definitely be nice, I'm getting tired of working out in the gravel haha. I may have to see what kind of single-car doors are out there. Still trying to be as cheap as possible due to student loans but this may be worth it...
I also am notI think I'd be looking at converting it back to a garage. Depending on how you do it the whole thing shouldn't cost too much.
But I'm no carpenter so don't take my advice too seriously.
I also am notI'll have to look into it. I'm guessing the only real costly part will be the door and whatever it takes to install it. Heck I might even consider leaving the LVP down, it'd look fancy. I'd likely go with a manually operated smaller door, there are beams that I think would make a powered door difficult. Plus I'm cheap.
My brother was a framer and worked house construction for a long time. Really wish he was a reliable human being so I could get his help lol.
Also... I vote to start it with just headers. Gotta hear it at least once right?
I was envisioning just the flip-up style but I'll look into pricing. Power would be ideal, but just might not be worth it. Chances are it will be used for vehicles that are non-running or not a daily 99% of the time anyways. For a single small door I vote for the manual flip up or roll-up style. I LOVE being able to just push my garage door opener and the door is open but when the power is out or it's broken it's a PITA to get open then.
Hopefully they can help! When I had shoulder issues they told me there wasn't much they could do cos it was all soft tissue. Although the Advil regimen they told me to do did eventually help..I'm finally going to physical therapy for my shoulder. (Remember I messed it up back in early Jan?) My first appointment is today so I won't get a chance to mess with it much today. I've got some things to finish up before I could try turning it over.
The headers are only coming from Reno, NV so they should get here pretty fast. But like SJ's TJ said I've got a lot of other little things I can be doing.

True.. always something to do and don't want to do stuff twice. Might be motivating to hear it run too though, it was for me lol
My garage doors have been working since Nov 2005 and the only issue I've had was wiring on one got torn out somehow so I've been "LUCKY"...
For as little as you would use it I don't think power is that important.
It took since April for the VA to finally get me approved for a local provider & then when I called to make my appointment they were 6 weeks out. So I've just been dealing with the pain but it's getting OLD. And now it's not just my shoulder that hurts but is down in my arm too.
Hearing it run would be fun. I know it has before & yep it's motivating too. Honestly there is a lot of things I'll have to do twice because I've got stuff I installed that has to come back off. But it's all part of the build process.
Like the front driveshaft, I had to install it to know where to route the exhaust but it'll have to come back off to do some other work. And I'm sure there are other parts I haven't thought of yet.
Test firing it would also answer the wiring harness question & if I'll have to send it back to Hotwire to get modified for my early build or not.
Fire her up Rick. You don't need the radiator hooked up, just run for like 30 seconds. You have to nowWe also need to hear it and see it on video!
Not bad. There isn't much to break though really right? In my last house it was clear the PO had hit both the door and both of the tracks and it still went up and downMy garage doors have been working since Nov 2005 and the only issue I've had was wiring on one got torn out somehow so I've been "LUCKY"...

Oh that sucks. Mine was just rotator cuff stuff so all soft tissue. That sounds a lot worse. Classic healthcare system making you wait that long, they're hoping it fixes itselfIt took since April for the VA to finally get me approved for a local provider & then when I called to make my appointment they were 6 weeks out.
