How major l many mounting bolts to mount it to the rear crossmember?
It looks good and I'll need one to match my front!

For me, the bike rack is the reason for the hitch. Don't intend to pull any trailers.
For comparison, the Savvy rear aluminum bumper was not built for the constant bouncing of a bike rack. The aluminum would eventually crack from fatigue if used that way.
That’s what I’m trying to avoid(steel bumper with aluminum shell). A lot of bike racks are made from aluminum and work well. I’m not opposed to adding some more hardware to the crossmember. I just don’t want to rely on that for much, but I guess every little bit helps. I have outer frame stiffing brackets they just aren’t in these pictures.
The factory hitch was only connected to the frame and spanned the width free from any other connection.

Loving the bumper, should be installing tomorrow. Fairlead & winch rope coming from BMB. Though now I feel like I need to rebuild/paint my winch so it doesn’t look so old and crusty, lol.

Looks great! Any advice on your approach to cleaning it up? I have high count sanding discs I plan to use in the one I have here.
Looks great! I’ve never used shark hide. I’ll have to look into that.
@Fluxor received my bumper last Friday, extremely well made and great value. It’s great that you are taking on these projects! Let me know when you get your shackle mounts available.View attachment 550414
