I'll try to get the mount to the V bar in here at some point but for now, this will be assuming the Setrab is in the grill mounted to the V-bar low enough to get the extruded fin steering cooler above it.
The 42RLE cooler line ports are generally upper and lower. The lower is the out to the radiator and it goes to the right side. Not a big deal but it also means that the cooler lines added for the Setrab will cross over each other.
Routing-
Out (lower port which is also lower hard line) from transmission to the radiator cooler on the right side. This one is left alone.
Out from radiator return port on the left side is routed to the inlet on the Setrab on the right side which is also the lower port on the Setrab.
Out from Setrab upper on the left side to the return hard line back to the transmission upper port.

The only adapter I have found for the cooler port in the radiator is the one made by ICT Billet for the 05-06 quick disconnect style.

I have yet to find anything good to adapt the 03-04 so we custom make them.

It is used to convert the left side radiator port to -6 AN Male.

There are several ways to attach the out, I like and use AN stuff, they do make a push on adapter but the steel versions are very expensive. Hayden makes brass ones, I'm not a fan.
There are also a few options to attach to the return line back to the transmission, I do it two ways, most common is to split the crimp sleeve with a cut off wheel taking care not to get into the hard line and remove the rubber hose there.

I make a nice little stainless steel tube fitting that is -6 male on one end, -6 female on the other that is long enough to get out of the radiator easily. This assumes you have or will convert the ports on the Setrab to AN male in -6. The cooler has 22mm ORB or o-ring boss ports, the Setrab adapters are too expensive so I have some from Racetronix I use.
When the SS tube fitting is installed, it looks like this-
We hole saw the rubber air dam to make it easier.

Routing out of the cooler and again, we drill the air dam-

Finished routing at the radiator. We also drill the fan shroud on either side of the top line and use that for some good zip ties to hold the lines in place and keep them out of trouble.

This is the push on method with 2 Oetiker clamps. The other method is to cut the factory barbed end off and use a compression to -6 male. They are about 15 bucks each in steel so we tend to lean more towards using the clamps.

The plastic hose clamp to an oil pan stud on this one was still intact so we just made sure it would stay in place with a couple of zip ties.

A few notes-
The Setrab bolt bosses are delicate. They will also let a longer bolt punch through into the cooling tubes, don't do that.

The cooler is fairly delicate so when you tighten the adapter fittings, you must use a back up wrench. We install them with red Loctite so when you removing the female fittings off of them, you don't turn the adapter fitting and cause a problem or a leak.

This is mostly a pictorial reference of one way to do this with stuff I've figured out after doing many of them. This is not the only way or perhaps even the best way, it is just easy for us.

Could you switch up the orientation of the transmission lines into the radiator to avoid the lines having to cross over each other?

I imagine the radiator trans cooler is not directional?

You can and no the radiator cooler is not directional. You won't enjoy the difficulties of getting the right side radiator port connected to the right side cooler port due to how close they are to each other, but there is no reason NOT to do it that way. If you look a bit closer, you'll note that the OEM line for the right side port into the radiator is left as is. You would have to completely rework how both of them go in and out of the ports.

Ahh, thanks, a good point. It would probably not be fun to get a 4" piece of hose to fit between the two ports right next to each other.

I figured if I was cutting one crimp I may as well cut two, but will probably just do this as you described.

Does this cool better than the derale? I already have that installed, Overall it keeps my temps down, but this weekend in Big Bear I was seeing temps at 235...

It works in JV. Beyond that I don’t know. I went with a Setrab because I wanted to be able to wheel in any environment without worry. Sustained 230’s can damage your transmission. I never liked the Derale setup (didn’t like the fan, didn’t like the location). It works for some people in some environments, but if it’s not working for you, research and make a change.

Well since you driving up to north Idaho and installing it is probably out of the question I guess PM (or e-mail) me a total with all the special fittings to make this thing functional and I'll get you paid.
Thanks again for doing this for me

Based on my experience, the Setrab’s cooling is superior and it’s really not close.

I’ve seen the Derale setup allow temps to reach 225-228* before I shifted to low in order to cool the 42RLE down.

The Setrab unit kept the 42RLE temps around 30-40* lower than the Derale does.

Can I mail you a v bracket for welding a mount on? Do you need the cooler for measurements if using the same setrab?

You may, but based on a few things, some ground rules need to be followed.
If a package shows up at random, it will sit untouched until someone tells me what to do with it.
I need a name to go with, I need a return shipping address for the part when it is done, and I need to know if you want anything else like fittings, hose, etc. I am not going to paint the part when I'm done, that's on you. I'm not going to contact you to work out the details, that's your job. Don't send me one that is rusty, bent, or that needs repair.

@mrblaine do you have a recommendation on hose? Lots of stainless braided options and not sure it's needed or even wanted for being more of a pain to cut, for a low pressure application.
