Alright pulled the trigger the on the RockJock pro kit. Now I’m gonna need a sye and rear driveshaft. RockJock recommends Tom Woods. Their website has Advanced Adapters and Terflex for sye. I’ve seen stuff posted about Je Reel and Adams too. I was thinking about getting a new front driveshaft as well. My questions to you all is what are your recommendations. PFA

Tom Wood’s.

I have an Adam’s rear shaft. Sent it back due to a problem. Came back with the same problem. I just fixed it myself. Ridiculous. Kept my rig down for a couple weeks.

I remember that. Was making you bananas. However, I have had good luck and quick turn around with Adams. I bashed my front pretty good on a few rocks on the Rubicon last fall and no issues. I plan to use Adams again when I redo the shafts for my Atlas in a few weeks.

I had a bad experience. But one bad apple doesn’t mean throw the crate away! The shaft is fine now that I fixed it. 😀

I certainly don’t blame you for changing vendors if your experience is sub par. I have heard lots about both of these companies, a few bad but mostly good. I also like that the Tom Woods organization has engaged this forum from time to time with some good info and educational links.
I went with Adams. Mostly because I live on the west coast and they're in Vegas.

Happy with my SYE and rear and ordered a front too. All in good order.

I think in deciding Adams and Tom Woods, location is important. If you are out west, Adams is likely faster and the reverse if you are on the east coast.
Edit: I see Tow Woods is in Ogden, UT. For some reason, I thought farther east🙄

I have seen good and bad reviews for all of those brands. I did use Adams and had good results. I would go with the JB Conversions standard SYE if it’s me, and SSSYE if the additional length is truly needed.

Tom Wood's makes a great product. The other ones may be a great product, too, but I have no direct experience with them. That said, customer service and support from Tom Wood before and after the sale is unparalleled. They make a great product, and stand behind it 100%.

I will never give drive shaft business to anyone else because of how Tom Wood's treated me throughout the entire process, to include taking a return from me months later and fixing the issue, and sending the shaft back to me, on their dime. With a turnaround of less than a week.

I don't know of another company, driveshaft or otherwise, that stands behind their products like that.

Your logic usually isn't that fucked up. ;)
Distance from Tom to you.

Interesting...I swore Tom Woods was back east someplace.

I'll eat that one...why I like you guys...we all need to learn sometimes.

And to be slightly more fair... Adams was still in Reno when I ordered my crap.

That's pretty much a cop-out. There are always going to be unreasonable folks who are unable to be satisfied. The difference is if you get more than a couple of sets of drivelines from Tom in a lifetime like some of us have, you learn after 100 of them or so, that all the good things folks say about them are actually true. They are fast, they are very good, they take care of business, they own up to any mistake however rarely they happen, and they have excellent prices especially for how good and how fast they are.
