Golly! Does your Atlas have an overdrive? My final ratio is os 81:1 ish and cruising at anything over 60mph gets pretty fatiguing.
That’s my final crawl ratio. 1st gear low range. Tranny 1st 4.01, atlas low 5.0, axle r&p 5.13
No. 5th. I have 4:1 xfer case, 4.88 axles. 35 inch tires. ~3000 rpms cruising is too high for me to take longer than about 60 miles at a time.

Savvy is what most prefer, don't know who makes the one in your link. I installed a Novak Conversions one a few years back, works great. BTW, Savvy website is showing these on sale right now for just under $150.00

You have a strange way of presenting an equation.
Because nobody, even DavidBT, cruises at 60mph in first gear. My 5th gear is slightly overdriven at .8:1.
Since my point was lost, I'll repeat it - I don't like cruising long distances at 3000rpms.

I cruise in high range like most folks. In high range the xfer case is 1:1 so it should not be calculated. Take that out of the equation and see what you come up with.
