If you leave the rear driveshaft out... you could drive with front wheel drive only.... once you resolve the rear seal issue.
SYE??? NO rear drive shaft and 4H.
Ordered a new front driveshaft yesterday. Still in the process of cleaning axles before the swap.
Future garage 45'x30' on 10 acres we are in the process of buying. My Jeep will love it!
I envy you! How much is the land if you don't mind me asking?
Better yet... What's the property tax on the land?
For the land and house and garage we are paying 118000. It was 160000 last Summer but the little old lady living here needs to sell it. The house is a POS cosmetically but structurally sound and we are gutting it and rebuilding the inside. Not sure yet on the property tax.
We have some livestock were going to put on it for an exemption. She is leaving the boat in the pic with a few other things my wife wanted.The Colorado river is 1/2 mile away. I know this is way more info than you need but hey, that's me

No, that's cool, and that's a great price. We are buying a house / land as we speak which is why I was asking.
That will be really awesome having that much land. Maybe you can have your own off-road park on it!
I'm still looking forward to seeing how you plan to get the axles done in one day with no down time... That's going to be a real tall order! Anytime I think I can get something done in one day, it never, ever works out that way! 
My plan is to have an entire weekend to do the rear only first. Drive without the front driveshaft and do the front axle on the following weekend. I am still working on my Cherokee to see if it will run. Might need a new PCM for it. I know all to well how "plans" can go downhill so I am not getting in a hurry. I know I will wait until we get the new property and have a garage to work in. My driveway at this rent house isn't cutting it! Besides the new axles just bolt right in!HahahahahahahhaI'm still looking forward to seeing how you plan to get the axles done in one day with no down time... That's going to be a real tall order! Okay, I would say swapping the rear axle in over the weekend is more realistic. Just make sure that you're 110% certain that you have everything you need before you start. I hate when I think I have everything I need, only to end up having to take multiple trips to the auto parts store.
That's what is taking me so long to do it. Still trying to get my Cherokee running so I'm not without transportation. Plus my rear trackbar is coming tomorrow. Thanks for the support.
In swapping out rear axle I found the upper mount holes for one of my lower control arms is slightly oblong resulting in a slight shift. Other than welding a washer to the frame to center the control arm bolt what other options are there? Other than needing new bolts for the lower control arms everything is going pretty smooth.
Is the hole supposed to be like that or is it a worn out hole that's somehow gotten bigger over time?
