Last night I had a few minutes and was excited to start to see how this is going to work out. So I cleared off the workbench:
Moved over the top cabinet:
Shelf with the oil pans will be cleared out for the bottom part of the cabinet after I trim it.
Because of the construction of the bottom, I'll need to trim it and then cut and re-weld the bottom of the cabinet to the trimmed cabinet to keep rigidity.
I forgot how much of a pain these older slider designs are to remove the drawers. You have to push into the draw in the oblong hole while pushing back on the slider - trying not to skewer your hand with the screwdriver used to push back the slider...
I like the setup initial look at the setup - keeps my tool storage maximized at minimum cost (I want to get a 56" HF toolchest where I would replace half the workbench footprint - but the wife nixed that when I offered the essentially free option

)
I also think the curvature of the air compressor will give a good angle for the side door of the sand blasting cabinet to open plenty enough to get parts into the cabinet.
Already started looking into upgrades for the HF cabinet - such as the 5-gal bucket with a wet/dry vac to pull the dust, more lighting, etc.
