I had my windshield replaced a few months ago. It was fine until we had some hot weather (105 degrees). Then came out to find the weather strip like this. Can it be re-glued? Or does it need to be replaced?

Ask the glass shop to warranty their work?

I assume they didn't replace that weather stripping, just reused it. So figure a 20yo piece of rubber.

The windshield guy is mobile and super cheap. I think it was $125 installed and he came to my house to do it. I'm a frequent flyer, I think that was the 4th windshield he's replaced out of 3 Jeeps.

I think that's an extra part to order and doesn't really seal anything, just trims out the inside opening pinch welds of the windshield frame. Mine's pulled away at the corners, with black gooey adhesive bridging the gaps. I plan on using some more substantial edging material when I have my glass replaced instead of the factory "thing". Might have a joint in it, but I can cut to fit and it won't sag or pull away.
