I recently found a windshield frame in perfect condition and in my paint code locally and picked it up to fix my absolutely rotted one. Getting those painted bolts off seems like they are going to be a pain so I would like to only do it once and do it right. Is it worth it to get a new gasket between the frame and cowl if so what's the best option? I'm wary of replacing based on my experience with my door seal I purchased the Crown Automotive one from Quadratec and it's much thicker making the door not shut fully unless you slam it good and none of the clips seem to stay in. So just looking for recommendations and advice before I dig in.
