Winch Vid
Hey all,
Hoping to get some feedback on my winch controls. When I got the jeep, it didn’t come with a controller or clutch tool. I’ve found a clutch tool that seems to work, now I am rebuilding the controller. I’ve so far been able to move the winch forward and back ward, by connecting to two different wires to what is probably the common power. I guess these two wires are different grounds, reversing the polarity of the voltage driving the motor.
This seems good enough, but there’s two hanging wires, one white, connected to the PCB, and one red. It seems I don’t need these wires? But, maybe they allow some variable speed. What do these extra wires do? And, am I fucking anything up with the 3 wires I’m using now, with bypassing the other two?
PS. No, I don’t usually wear sandals while working on my jeep, unless I’m playing with wires.
Thanks!
