I bought this soft top for an an LJ off of marketplace. Sounds like it was not used for a number of years. After buying what I believe to be the correct parts from bestop (knuckles, screws and brackets) I am unable to figure out why my soft top is not working. It seems that the connection points are far too high. The bracket is lined up with the untapped holes and the foam cutout on roll bar. Any help appreciated!

Is that an OEM frame?

I have a Bestop Supertop NX with the flip part of the roof over the front passengers' heads. I can't remember what it's called. Your bars that attach to the header look different than mine. Maybe it's because you don't have door surrounds on with that pin that locks the frame into the door surrounds at the B pillar? 🤷‍♂️

Hmm that may have something to do with it. Not sure if it is oem or not will ask seller. Probably dumb but I used the lower hole on the bracket to bring the frame down. Definitely better but still far too high, especially if I get surrounds eventually. Thanks for the response

It looks like the bow that attaches to the windshield is too high. it should be at or below the top of your doors. Is there something other than stock at the top of your windshield. See the picture Mountaineer Tom sent from the side and you can see what I mean.

All your hardware looks correct as far as I can see. Maybe the webbing straps just need to stretch more. As @MountaineerTom says, you need door surrounds with the lock pin to bring down that section first. Then latch the header bar at the windshield. Finally, hook the rear of the soft top to the tub.

the last OEM soft top I had was in 2012 and I don't have a lot of photos, but the front part of your bows look like that one, with the long plastic sleeve.

These are all the photos I have with the top bows or the door surrounds visible. I can't really tell but maybe you can zoom in and see whether the aforementioned hole/tab on the door surround is there. I don't remember it.

Sorry for the holiday delay. I am not sure what the name is but the sides and rear windows zip out for summer. Looks like this. And bonus feature is the front folds back to create a sunroof. This is a great top for me and where we live.
