Hello, i currently have some fiberglass upper doors with slider windows. I do not know the brand, but the windows are plastic and scratched to hell, and the driver door upper is cracked at the base so it does not seal at the top and is very noisy on the freeway.

I really like the uppers with the slider window. I drive the freeway frequently, this is my only vehicle, often when i go to work it is 45-50 degrees and then when i am driving around later in the day it is easy to remove them and get some fresh air. I have been driving with no top because it is quieter than with the top on because of the whistling i get on the upper door. I have been debating on getting full doors or just new slider uppers and dont think at this time that i have the room to store an extra set of doors.

I am torn between the bestop slider windows, which are about $630, the bulldog mfg windows which are about $750, or the rallytop upper which are $775.

all have glass sliders, just looking for reviews of what people have used, and what they think would work well for my situation. The prices are all similar, but maybe the bulldog windows are the best bed because the fiberglass should produce a better seal and be quieter than the bestop sliders.

Do you run a soft top or hard top?

In my experience glass or plastic door uppers does not make a Nordic or difference to me if running a soft top. If running a hardtop the glass sliding windows are quite a bit quieter.

I have no experience with fiberglass uppers.

I run a soft top. Are you saying between the vinyl zipper windows and glass?

I put 900mi on my Jeep with a soft top and half doors with the Bestop Uppers, no issues. The soft top is what makes the most noise in my case. If I ran these with my hardtop I think they’d be comparable to full doors.

I must be the only one that likes zipper windows. I take 3,000 mile trips with them.

I actually have both. The zippers aren’t bad at all. A little more noise, but again combined with the soft top it’s hardly noticeable. The only issue with mine is from the care of the previous owner of them, or lack there of. The windows are wrinkled and a bit hazy.

I bought mine new for $333 on Amazon, all issues are my own doing :(

Actually mine are holding up well.

I was fortunate enough to score a set of OEM half doors with both style of upper windows. And even better, I found a brand new set of Smittybilt upper skins yesterday for $30 so those will be getting swapped on to the old frames.

Daily driver, year round with soft uppers. I just tossed a set of smittys due to vandalism (three years later) and have a set up rampage uppers. Theyre worse. Ill get a set of bestop zippered uppers before winter

I ended up getting the bestop sliders and they are FANTASTIC. I also ordered a new twill supertop and am very excited to see how it is inside with them paired together.

I have had the Bestop with sliders for about 3 years. Love them. Really easy to remove (basically just pull them up), but maybe easier to be stolen for that reason. You need the upper door frames with those. Idk if the Bulldogs need the frames.

I already had the upper frame so it was not an issue. The ones I had on previously also used the upper door frames. Glad to hear they have held up well for 3 years 👍

Are the frames for the uppers the same. With sliding windows vs zipper windows? Or are the frames specific to window type?
