Which spare parts should I keep on hand for move to Belize?

There are a few sensors where I'd keep a spare in a cool dry place. Crank position, cam position, throttle position, MAP. You might also want a spare IAC (idle air control). The IAC can be cleaned, but if you can't get it back to normal you'll have idle issues. Because the O2 sensors are finicky and could put your jeep in a bad running state, you might want the NTK/NGK replacements (not BOSCH) on hand if you find long lead times an issue there. Depending on where the 2002 started life it could have 2 or 4 O2 sensors.

Okay thanks, good suggestions! Putting the list together…

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Where would be a good place to source the various sensors?

Rock Auto. Amazon is Russian roulette if it's a fake or not.

Part of my job is spending time on our dredges. There's being seasick...and there's being on a drege in a 15 foot beam sea in the mouth of the harbor as we rotate 3-4 times a minute to increase cavitation. I usually have pretty good sea legs but the first couple times I was puking my guts out.

Unfortunately, no. Import duties and the Customs paperwork prevent that. There are options such as sending to a consolidator in the US who thenships it down and does the import but it is much slower and more expensive than in the US…

Bummer. I've been spending time in Ecuador and same thing there. Amazon ships there but what I've heard is customs slows things down to almost 6 months if you actually get it

I was able to source a NOS mopar Crank Position Sensor and Throttle Position Sensor for my 2004 from mymoparparts.com. Stocks are thin on most of these.

I've had good luck and speed with Summit when they carry what I need.

Advance Auto and O'Reillys can both work well for me if they have what I need locally as long as I'm being careful about what I'm ordering. Advance has Dana U-joints in stock.

Rockauto seems good despite the windows 98 website.

I've got a smattering of spare sensor parts and an IAC coming from partsgeek in the next few days. I'll try to circle back with feedback. These are for travel spares, not immediate replacements

Haha, yeah, those seas on a dredge is a lot of motion! I wasn’t aware of Rock Auto so thanks!

All these Expats, you guys are making me jealous.

We've looked at putting some stuff in storage. Buying land and building a warehouse. Don't knows what path we are going. 2nd seems the best option
