What did you do to your TJ today?

I couldn’t find that. I’m no good with this computer/phone stuff and my kids won’t help. They say that I should already know this

I posted it for you after I got home from work...

No, on mine, I had two slots there. On the left, where I installed the USB charger was where the cigarette lighter was located. The one to the right that you see is accessory power from the battery. I left one to use a GPS unit or anything else that I might want to plug in.
I believe (don't quote me) on the 97-02's there was an ashtray to the right and only a single cigarette lighter that was mounted in the middle of that panel like you are describing in your setup. I imagine that since you have only one lighter plug, you could drill a new hole left or right of the lighter since you want to keep your lighter too and just splice into the wires feeding your lighter. The fuse for the lighter (on mine) is a 20 amp fuse so there shouldn't be a problem using one of these chargers and the cigarette lighter together...?? I think cigarette lighters only draw about 8-10 amps to heat the lighter and USB chargers draw anywhere from 1.0 amp to I think this 3.0 charger is about 2.4 amps??? So a 20 amp fuse should be fine!
There is a 3D printed switch panel for 03 onwards

or you can do the dual mod for 02 and below

Was going to install my MCE's today, but it looks like it's gonna rain...
Soooo I did a rear fender delete instead.

(Will clean everything up after the primer dries)

I started to install mine last night. Rears were a piece of cake, the fronts came to a halt quickly when my hood latch nuts just kept spinning. Since I daily drive my TJ, the install got put on hold until my new hood latches come in so I can cut the old ones off.

Welcome Svott.. it’s just a edition offered in that year.. probably has a sticker or maybe different gears or a bigger tire package.. goto the home page and select new members.. if you scroll to the bottom it will give you some tips to navigate the forum
ok thanks

I put the DDX9904 in mine last year, love it!
@Reign Mack

My amp delivers today to connect to my kicker sub in the factory enclosure. I have 4x 5.25" aftermarket speakers with the factory deck. I'm considering a dual fun with many of the features of modern cars. More power, cleaner sound, Bluetooth, (wireless) carplay, etc. I'm wouldn't expect much out of Bluetooth calling and I don't really need mapping.
I like this receiver right now.https://www.crutchfield.com/p_105KWM855B/JVC-KW-M855BW.html

Are there any features that your deck didn't deliver well or can't deliver? Speed sensitive volume seems like it would be nice but not possible in a TJ.

Speed sense is nothing new, even my old single din had that feature but I never used it. I have only had my stereo for 4 days now. Personally I wish it didn’t have a dvd /cd drive and was just solid state as I’m not a fan of moving parts but I can’t really give an in-depth review yet

I haven't looked at the wiring diagram on the TJ yet. Does it have a speed sensor wire to connect to the receiver?
I've read about certain functions being available based on the parking brake, or that you can ground that wire. I think I'd ground it so the radio always thought it was in park...

Looking forward to your review when you are ready.
