What did you do to your TJ today?

The Asian A340F automatic in our 98 4Runner has one from the factory , as did our similar AW-4 in a 2000 XJ . Everyone else says screw off.

That's why I wanted one, I got tired of servicing medium duty truck transmissions. No drain plug and fluid trying to go everywhere.

All the medium duty trucks I worked on were manual 4 and 5 spds. Quality transmissions that ALL came with drain plugs . Kinda funny how the transmission's that need servicing the most , make it extra difficult to change the ATF . Coincidence , I think not.

Exactly!

Have you guys seen these? Screw plugs for tires-amazing how close we were to the solution of screws in our tires for nearly a century.

I’m enjoying the snot out my LJR chasing down a no charge/no battery issue on my f2fitty it eats 2 batteries about every 2-3 winters. The local interstate mgr laughed, said yep, we love it.

Hopefully it is the batteries and not the harness issue they are known for- but who knows

It was a good read. We didn't have a TV for probably 8 years. That's when I started reading and spending even more time outdoors

Wife is a news and TV junkie. I more or less drifted away from TV in the 90s - about the only thing I'll watch are movies, "Gold Rush", and sometimes I'll sit down and watch some fool on HGTV completely ruin a house.

I watch some football (college). Dad likes gold Rush, i like Curse of Oak Island, because I read the book about it back in the 70's.

Put the charger on the battery because I couldn't believe that the battery was bad. Still would not start. Banged on the starter and it then it tried to start. Crawled under the Jeep and started to remove the starter and found one of the bolts did not want to move. Bought an adjustable breaker bar after fighting with it for over an hour. Broke free within five seconds. New starter will be in tomorrow.

Total bummer , when I changed the starter on my wife's 04 4.0 it was the easiest starter I ever changed , literally 8 minutes from open the hood to close the hood with the Jeep running . Hang in there , you got it now !
