What did you do to your TJ today?

Found some new wheels and 37" MT tires to replace my outdated 35s. 🫣

I heard some ticking coming from under the bonnet and had to think if I had pissed somebody off recently 🧨 😉
Turns out it was my 11yo old distributor 😬.
Bought a new distributor cap and rotor and with a bit of CRC and we’re good to go again.

🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

A few weeks ago my fuel pump went out and I dropped the tank and changed it (found the evap hard line that was causing my evap leak too so finally no check engine light after 5 years of ownership 🤣)

When I was getting the tank reinstalled just as I was tightening the bolts to the skid plate this clip fell out of the skid plate. Does this look like it's from a TJ? I wasn't about to drop the tank again right then to check cause I was in the gravel driveway at my job.

I’m not nearly as experienced as others here but I’ve not seen one of those on a Jeep unless it’s a Savvy cable shifter clip? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Opinion question...

What Mopar sensors should I source for spares? I know most sensors are getting harder to find that are OEM. I've got the coolant temp, IAT, TPS, and manifold air pressure sensors in my eBay cart. Looking to see what else I should grab to put in the crawler hauler for spares instead of having to buy one from an auto parts store. I have an Mopar CPS and starter already.

I just dropped my tank to put a new skid on and didn't notice anything like that.

I've had my tank out multiple times, and never seen that either.

Not necessarily to the Tj, but an accessory to. Picked up a new trailer yesterday.

My current 14’ 7k trailer is 25 years old and has been absolutely used and abused outside of Jeep use to the point the deck looks bent to me. It needs new tires and in reality, all new brake and hub assemblies and that’s polishing a turd. With the axle swap I’m planning on the LJ it’ll be too narrow as well. Not worth sinking money into.

The only other trailer I have that can haul the Jeep is a 34’ gooseneck which is absolutely unreasonable to haul a single Jeep on.

I’ve been searching for a few months for used deals on a 16-20’ bumper pulls rated at 10k plus. These things used seem to list for $4-5k with 8 year old tires and plenty of other issues. They are all junk and the owners think they have a gold mine.

Well a dealer came up on FB marketplace with a new 16+2 dove 10k trailer that pretty much checked the boxes for what I was looking for to haul my Jeeps and compact tractor. A couple text message exchanges later I took the 1.5 hour trip down there to check it out. The one they had advertised was black and that’s what I was going to look at, but it just so happens they had one that was “Arizona Beige Metallic” that was the same price and that is damn close enough to the LJ and was the only one sitting there that looked somewhat clean with dust sitting on it. Ended up picking it up and super pleased with the dealer and the trailer. No hidden BS fees, negotiated price plus tax, that’s it and it was the same price as the used junk I was looking at!

Of course, with all my other trailers having electric or electric over hydraulic jacks, I had to modify this one as the hand cranking took way too long. A 6” long, 1/2” bolt with the threads cut off and a hole drilled for the jack handle gear pin, we’re in business with the hand drill.

Also welded a 3/4” socket on the old jack handle incase manual assistance is required or I forget a drill.

Just got to do some work on this Jeep we built in the beginning of the year. Customer wanted some new gears to get a bit more power out of it.
She is a beauty on wheels

Very pretty!

Question: (I'm not being a wiseass - I really want to know.) How does one enter and exit this Jeep? I'm 5'9" and can barely get in and out of mine at stock height.
