After 9 yrs the battery the PO put in finally gave up the ghost. Battery said 9/16. I guaranty the Costco battery I put in will not make that.
Put the new Dorman bushing and body lift puck in. Had to buy a full BL kit for 1 stupid puck. Couldn't get the upper bushing out so I left it. Kinda surprised how good of shape these 26 year old bushings are; Jeep was made 8/99 as a '00 model year.

Replaced the wiper blades, ordered lube locker transmission gasket and filter.
Dang couldn't find any cheap blades these were $4.50 a piece. I guess nobody has the cheap Anco blades anymore.

Where did you get your blades from? I need to replace mine and Walmart is out.
O'Reillys, but they ran them through another company's cash account to get me that price. Supposed to be like nine dollars a blade.
That's plain stupid
A good rag with rubbing alcohol will clean blades up and make them last longer.
Figured I'd check the rest of my body bushings and bolts. Glad I did, and glad I purchased a small bushing. The front center under the grille bushing and puck was gone. Had to drop the Rusty's radiator skid to get leverage on the grille to raise it.
Now to properly torque them all so hopefully it doesn't happen again.

I've had the same wipers on my jeep since I first got it. Great return on investment, can't see shit if it rains anymore though. Been like 5 years
If I recall correctly, some wiper blade brands used to come with small alcohol wipes for that very reason.
They used to, yup. Then like everything else they got cheap.
I suppose what seemed like a nice product/customer service feature ended up equating to additional overhead cost per blade and meant the blade would likely last longer if used, equating to reduced sales frequency. Bad for business double header.
Just like everything else, especially since 2020.
