This may be the solution to the whole Jeep duck thing...We all buy a shitload of ducks and just duck every non jeep we park next to. We take away the power of the duck.

My wife has been DD'ing my TJ until I put the new engine in her AWD Commander. Someone left a Publix 95th Anniversary duck on it. I can't even be mad as she has worked there for 25yrs.
this is the look on Andy's face when he finds another duck on his JEEP !

Well.. Sugar Honey Iced Tea..wife hit something. Guess I'll heat and bend it back until I can get a new tie rod and joints.

This little trick is what the internet is for....the handful of pilot bearing I've done have been complete nightmares with slide hammers. Usually ending with destruction. This was nothing short of awesome. Popped the bearing and the bushing out. Walked it over to the press and viola.
Good news, the clutch is whisper quiet again.
Bad news, I can now hear the bad tensioner, or idler pulley bearing.

I never heard of the bread trick but I've used a tight fitting socket and grease, even putting a wrap of electrical tape around the socket as sort of a piston ring to make it tighter. The lineup tool works too as does a spare input shaft. The bread sounds less messy though.
But it doubles as a snack when you're done.
If that's the case I'd rather use Cheese Wiz.
Definitely LESS messy than grease, but still messy-ish
A 12mm 3/8 drive deep socket with a bolt to clog it worked perfect. I didn't need to wrap tape around it, either( I was pleasantly surprised)
worst part was stripping out one of the two 6mm bolt holes on the shifter replacing the boots. That was annoying. I eventually got a bolt jammed in there just enough to get it apart and back together, but this is the last time it'll be coming apart. When the next boots go on, so will a "new" shifter.
Cut the rusted tailpipe off as close to the muffler as I could get. I just can't get the rest of it out of the muffler to slide the new one in. Lack of good tools and zero mobility in my spine aren't helping.

Some heat, Mapp torch, and a 2/3 jaw puller should do the job. I'm sure one of the parts places would have one to rent, the puller that is. The 3 jaw version would increase your success odds and might work without heat.
