What did you do to your TJ today?

Yesterday, installed Taboo Customs mirror stabilizers to prevent the passenger mirror from pointing down at speed or on windy days. Works a charm.

Today, installed Wranglerfix PCM, replaced a leaky valve cover with a Felpro gasket, new PCV/CCV grommet and vent tubes, changed oil and filter. Also removed the light bar that was installed in a goofy fashion. Next, I'll be replacing the spark plugs, replace the front pinion seal that's leaking pretty bad and do a full differential flush - front and rear.

Got a link?

They've taken the product off-line while they sort out an issue with the plastic being used to 3D print the mirror stabilizers. One of the two that I ordered broke during installation along the 3D printed line, which I brought up to them and they are sending a replacement right away, but he mentioned that a few people had mentioned this issue on the recent batch they'd made.

But once they get that resolved, it'll be available again at https://taboocustoms.com/store

David at Taboo Customs is an amazing person and their products are all built in the US in Montrose, IA.

Here's a link to the video on YouTube that shows the install process.

Ok guys, here’s the finished result as a follow up. I had no idea that my TJ seats were this dirty, and could also get this clean. They actually have color to them! Super pleased with how this turned out and everything smells so fresh.View attachment 613724

Finished up the refresh on the interior. Rear seat upholstery got the same treatment as the fronts. Now everything smells fresh and looks brand new.

Got my Tom Woods front and rear shafts installed. (noticed the supplied Front shaft bolts for CV to t-case yoke was shorter then the OEM bolts. a little concerned but I assume TW knows what they are doing. used Blue loctite to make myself feel better). also notest the rear shaft had to go almost all the way "in" at the spline.. making me wonder if I had a bad measurement. hope its not an issue. forgot to take a photo, but I can do so tomorrow since TW wont be able until monday for me to sent it to for verification (its probably fine and im just nervous about it).

got the T case drop removed and adjusted the t case linkage.

started working on rear pinion angle when a Thunderstorm rolled in. probably for the best, the upper control arms where starting to frustrate me. I started at the passenger side and learned the hard way that the muffler is in the way of the bolt that secures the UCA to the frame. figured there where 2 options. first being to remove 1 or 2 of the exhaust brackets to see if it gave enough play to the muffler to wiggle the bolt out. I felt this wasnt a sure thing... so I chose option 2 which was to instead unbolt the control arm from the axle side and rotate it this way. it just means that I needed to then also remove the breakline from its mount on the control arm. which thought me that the mount must be bent because I couldnt get a socket on the nut. the weather stopped me before I could go further. I also have to rectify the issue of not being able to loosen the locking nut on the control arm. two problems better solved tomorrow i guess.

My Khaki TJ came with the same interior styling and colors.

With that said... I hate you!

Only because yours looks so great and OEM quality!! Mine - not so much but desired to look 50% where you are as my own finished product...

Great job brother!!! Looks amazing!
