Recently I’ve had a recurring issue where my CEL light will turn on for a few days, then turn itself off for a week or two. I’ve checked it twice and both times I did it came up showing that all 4 O2 sensors have gone out. Which they shouldn’t since they’ve all been replaced.

The codes I’ve been getting if I remember correctly are P0031, P0037, P0051, P0057. The codes go away for a couple days if I disconnect the battery. I also don’t notice any difference in how well it runs when the CEL turns on.

Does this sound like it could be a PCM issue, a wiring issue or some other wild card issue

Thank you!

That is a typical failure on an 05–06 TJ pcm. Do you have an automatic or manual?

I have an automatic.

Just to put it out there: It's had some shifting issues for a year or two, although I don't think these are related to the transmission, as it seems to mostly be a problem of shifting from Park/reverse to drive after getting warmed up.

The occasional hard shift from 1st to 2nd is the tcm side of the pcm failing. It doesn’t happen all the time usually twice until it gets up to operating temperature. Your PCM has failed you, sir.

I meant to say I don't think the shifting issue is related to the computer, as I don't seem to have noticed the traditional 1st to 2nd hard shift like you explained.

Additionally, once I get the replacement PCM, could I install it myself? I know a former mechanic who would probably be able to help me do it. And would the key SKIM module impact the installation at all?

Thanks

So, just to confirm, it will be plug-and-play with the skim module, correct?

I was looking at the PCM and its is a remanufactured unit , but I don't think that would affect the SKIM at all

Update: Ordered a replacement PCM from Wranglerfix and had all my CEL light issues corrected. It was shipped faster than Amazon does for me, and it came with well-thought-out, detailed instructions. It takes longer for me to take the doors off than it did to install the PCM. I've put nearly a thousand miles on it since I installed it and haven't had any issues. I even got a few mpgs back.

Would 100% recommend a wrangler fix PCM!
