My 2005 TJ has a 4" Teraflex lift installed by the previous owner. The rear upper and lower control arms are fixed (think they came with the kit he installed). It has a skid plate drop and a SYE. I know this has been covered a lot, but I have not found any information on the effects of a positive pinion angle. I am getting a vibration when I lift off the gas. I know the pinion should point straight at the output of the SYE (or maybe slightly below) but when I checked, the pinion is about 1 degree positive. I have rotated the tires, driven without the front driveshaft (was getting it rebuilt) and the vibration was still there. I just drove it with the rear driveshaft removed and the vibration went away. My question is could 1 degree positive be enough to cause a vibration, or could there be an issue with the shaft itself. I do not know how old the SYE is, but it looks good and the caps were in the correct locations on the yokes front and back. I want to get opinions on the positive angle before I buy and install some adjustable uppers so I can crank down the pinion angle. Thanks!
