Can anyone help me out? I’m wanting to find the correct rear output shaft seal for my NP231 transfer case with SYE. I put a new seal in from Napa but either that or something else is leaking. What should I do? I’ve tried a couple times to put new Gasket sealer on the splines going into the output shaft seal; all to no avail.

I think mine is leaking from the shift lever seal. I replaced the front output seal too...that was part of it.

How can you tell where it is leaking from? I see where it is ending up, but not originating. Spit shine that thing up and give yourself a chance.
