. Will be looking to get a decent set, probably Wiha. My Wiha standard Torx set has been great. Will likely need both screwdriver and L wrenches, maybe 1/4" drive bits.
Most of the bolts that hold the tow hooks on the front are Torx Plus. I'll see if I can dig some out tomorrow.Not needed on a TJ but I just learned about Torx Plus which is used in automated assembly and my new Ford has them

Yep, most don't even catch that they are the plus version and just use what they have.
Increased surface area, better pressure angles all mean that it is actually improved over Torx. Note the flutes on the driver are shorter so that makes them stronger and less likely to break or fail.

Just pulled the bed on my 04 f250. Found out about the torx plus. Finally found one locally after 2 days looking around. Bought two. Stripped both of em. Then ended up grinding them all of anyway
If memory serves me right I believe they were tp55's with a thick washer attached to the back. I cut a couple x's across with a carbide and used a 3lb and a chisel to knock em of. The replacement bolts I bought were standard torx 50 I think coulda been 55s. But yeah rounded em pretty good trying to get them off. Glad to get the squeak gone.
