Tailgate hinge screws - what am I doing wrong?

I’m trying my damndest to get these two tailgate screws out to install a flag holder (go Leafs) I’m using Liquid Wrench, an impact screwdriver (T40) and a torch to heat.

It’s about -4°C / 25°F where I am so I’ve been holding the heat to it longer than what I’ve read is suggested, but they’re still stuck after cycling lube/heat/impact screwdriver for about 30 mins.

Do I need to just keep going? More heat/atmospheric heat? More impact? How long has this taken you using this method?

Leafs are gonna beat the Sens tomorrow night so I need to have this thing installed and flying as soon as possible.

I just went thru this myself installing an Exogate. Here's a link to my thread which has good suggestions on how to handle the torx bolts. Looks like you've already stripped one of the heads, so you're gonna need to drill that one out.

I used 1/4 carbide spade drill and just drill them out and used an extractor to remove . Worked great, just make sure you drill it straight.
