When I swapped my axles a few months ago I reused as much as I could, including steering. I did the ZJ tie rod swap a while back and it worked well for me on my old axles, but now on the new ones they are too long. I did not change any part of the alignment when I did the swap, and the tie rod and tie rod end are fully threaded into the collar, so it's odd that now there is excessive toe out to the point my tires are worn pretty unevenly.
Considering I've never heard of the ZJ conversion being "too long" I'm worried it is something else. Any advice? I already plan to cut the threaded portions to bring the toe back in, but want to hear other suggestions on what could be going on.
