Are you going to fix the frame side body mounts?
When you do, have someone dig up pics of the solution for the crossmember since the C's that hold it to the frame are going away. It is both obvious and non-intuitive.. They’ll get GR raised mounts.
I did everything possible to get a brake kit onto that rig and he did everything possible to fuck that up. He had problems stopping the 35's which means he was dumb to go to the 37's without a brake kit. The only smart part of the whole mess is you don't have to dispose of the wrong kit which is the road he started down before slamming it into reverse and going the other way. Before Christmas I’ll be picking up a BBK and some other items from you.![]()

This was my solution last time. Trim the C up top to make room for the new mount.

When I do it, I carefully remove the angle piece from the ends.

You can tell, but only if you know what you are looking at.That’s a better way to go about it. Wouldn’t be able to tell it was any different than before.

Did you do AL for the rub rail?
So much armor you can barely tell it used to be another color! ...wait.
Looks great

Very common for the ends of the pads to bend over when the brakes are being overpowered by tires that are too large. It is common and I've written about it many times. It is due to the cast reaction bars that the ends of the pads rest against being overly flexible or less than robust. The TJ brakes are relatively fine when used with moderate size tires but they are a very old and dated design that never should have been on the TJ Unlimited. I have no idea why Jeep thought that a longer wheelbase heavier vehicle should have such a crap design. Especially when pad driven calipers in saddles were in use and very common on other Chrysler platforms.I don’t know if I ever told you, but the rear brake line on the driver side was ripped off so he had just crushed the line to keep it from leaking, but it was leaking anyway. I put a new line on awhile back, but you can only imagine what the stock Rubicon brakes were like before. As I’m typing I forgot another thing about the brakes I discovered about a month ago. The front brake pad backing plate was bent on one end on both sides. Bent pretty bad. I couldn’t believe it. I don’t even know what happened or what could have happened to cause that. I straightened them as best I could for the time being till I can get a BBK. Some of the brake pad cracked on one of them.![]()
Stainless. It’s still in the works but hoping the next few weeks. First set he’s made, so it will take some fitment. Here’s the most recent radius. Needs a little work.

Oh sorry, I meant on the slider! The difference did cross my mind but since you didn't have the rub rails there I figured I was in the clear not being more specific. That radius looks great though!
