Working on a project jeep I bought with half finished TDI swap. It's running now and I changed the oil and filter. I noticed that the oil pan is slanted. I assume because the engine was mounted on a slant in the car. With the engine mounted vertically in the jeep this puts the drain plug higher than the sump and I can't drain all of the oil. Is this something to worry about or is there a different oil pan.

So I’ve always mounted my engines with either a 7° or 10° tilt to be similar to what Volkswagen did, but I know several people that mount their engines at 0° tilt without any issues.

If anything you can jack up on side of your Jeep to help drain the rest of the fluid.
