For those of you who have a supercharger in your TJ:

How has it affected your fuel mileage? I've read that it can be increased if driven normally and of course decreased if joy riding.

Is yours intercooled?

Has it required you to make any other modifications?

@mrblaine would be a good one to ask. He installed one onto one of his Jeeps that apparently didn't need any permanent modifications. He can restore it back to stock pretty easily for the semi-annual California smog tests.

A supercharger will not improve your gas mileage, plain and simple. That's nothing but a myth.

Of anything it will make your fuel economy worse, because you'll have a heavier foot once you discover how much power you've got on tap (trust me, I know). Don't let that sway your opinion though, a supercharger really brings these things to life and then some.

Also, with a supercharger you don't use an intercooler, you use an aftercooler. Currently there are no systems on the market that use an aftercooler, but you don't really need one. On a stock engine with the Eaton M90 you're not going to be running enough PSI to need an afercooler.

If you buy one of the kits from Boosted Tech, they come with everything you need to install them. I know Mark Cook very well (the owner of Boosted Tech), and if you call him up he'll talk to you one-on-one all you want about superchargers. They have tons of guys who are running their systems and absolutely love them.

Also, for $2500 that's pretty damn hard to beat.

Also, Mark Cook is a member of this forum, so hopefully he will chime in!
