Howdy, so I am slowly rebuilding my dads 04 Tj that I inherited and I've noticed that the steering is pretty floaty. I've had older cars before (70s) and can deal with it but I also figure that after 20ish years it could be due an overhaul and it would be nice to make it feel a it better as I do intend to drive it a fair bit and maybe even sell my daily so I can throw the money into more projects.


Are there aftermarket replacement options that can firm things up/make it feel a bit less floating and more direct instead? This would be for RHD.

set the appropriate tire pressure for size, do a dry steering test to check for worn components and finally post up some pics of the steering components as they can often aid remote diagnosis
