Hi guys. I haven't been around much lately, but I have a strange question.
A slightly weird one here.
I just had to put a starter on the Muddog. Strait forward enough, right? Accomplished that yesterday. Today, I fire him up to go to the gym. Brakes are hard and not very effective. Symptoms seem to indicate brake booster. Sheer coincidence? I HATE coincidence, but what else could it be? The only other thing I touched was that I put new terminals on my positive battery cable

Gotta be a coincidence. You might have knocked something loose or broken a brittle vacuum line while you were in there.

Keep us posted on what you find!

I don't know what I might have knocked loose. The starter and battery are on the other side of the engine compartment from the brake booster. The big vacuum hose looks okay, and I don't know what else it could be, and there's no indication of a vacuum leak.

In that case I'm going to say it's got to be a coincidence.

All fixed. A Dorman Universal kit #80189 fit like it was made for it. About $10.
