Speedometer recalibration

I am such an idiot - should have done my research before buying the 35-tooth speedo. I had a TJ back in 2000 and remember changing the speedo on NP231 and assumed the same method works for NP241. I finally decided to change the speedo today, crawled under, looking... looking, and cannot find it. I jumped on the forum and found this old thread.

The speedometer is off about 3 MPH so I think I will just let it be instead of paying for recalibration.

Easy mistake to make. I rarely recalibrate mine since I drive 10-20 mph over the speed limit most the time.

If I’m worried about what speed I’m driving I throw my phone up on the dash mount and use the gps on it. I should put my speedoheeler back in but I’m lazy.

I can think of a better way to put $80 to good use
I also use Waze most of the time and see the correct speed on my radio unit so I am just going to let it be.
