After testing last night I decided I just have no use for the rear sound bar. It rattles with any power to the speakers and after fading it for a good soundstage it just isn’t worth the effort. I’m thinking of removing them( it’s a two piece) but don’t want to lose the lights.

Anyone have ideas on replacement lighting. It would have to be clamped or bolted to the bar somehow.

For now I just have the speakers out which isn’t really a big problem. I just like to tinker with things haha.

I never had a soundbar and the lack of interior lighting has always been annoying. I finally found this:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0046KIABG/?tag=wranglerorg-20

It's a battery powered LED light that straps to the roll bar. It's even got a quick release to remove the light module from the straps, and it has a magnet on the back so I can stick it under the hood if I need more light there. $18.

I think I read somewhere that somebody got rid of their sound bar, and mounted some wake board tower speaker pods in its place. Might be viable?

Just to be clear the speakers aren’t installed. I had some installed and even with Poly-Fill and foam around the speaker it rattled. I believe it’s the light cover but still wasn’t worth the effort. I fade it all mostly to the front anyways.

Just looking for a unique suggestion to put better interior lighting in its place. I would want it wired in though.

My Jeep does not have a sound bar and I have been looking for a wired dome light to mount to the roll bar. Haven’t had any luck. Following for suggestions

I ended up ordering a light strip from super bright led’s along with the floorboard lights. It should be just right for the center of the roll bar between where the speakers were.

I also had a problem where the light cover rattled because I drilled out a one inch hole to add a tweeter, and also put a crossover inside the speaker pod, and that increased sound cause the light cover to rattle.

My solution was to add some padded rubber tape like this. You just cut it up so it fits inside the light cover and presses up against the speaker pod. No more rattle.

I don't have one on The Muddog either. I found a pair of sticky-on LED strip lights at Pep Boys, stuck them on the seat belt risers, and spliced them into the original dome light wiring.
Nice! Care to post some pics?

I don't know how much detail you want, but this is pretty much it.

Waiting on dark to see how well it lights up the cab but I think it will do well. It might be a little more blue than I like but could just be the daytime look. If so for $7 I can just order another one. I can tell I will really like the footwell lights I bought with it.
