Most new aftermarket options are $2000+. So if you can find a used OEM top, that will be the least expensive and built well.
Though many of the aftermarket tops have sliding rear windows, which I would really like.
A soft top is better for a trail rig. I used to have a 4 door with a hard top. When I took it off, the Jeep handled much nicer when wheeling.
