Especially with the stroker. The stock horn on my air box is 42mm. The intake I’m planning is no less the 3” (76mm) to the throttle body which for me is 62mm instead of the stock 58mm. The cross sectional area of the pinch point is therefore doubled (approx. 1400 to 3000 mm squared). Gotta help based on @ Jezza’s stock 4.0 data. I will assume that for
@Jezza the stock 58 mm throttle body is the pinch point since removing the filter element didn’t really do much. Speaking of the filter, the WIX Windstar filter flows 250 cfm vs the WIX sock 4.0 at 210 cfm. Does anyone know what the Jeep 7120 head flows?
Edit: AI says “The Jeep 7120 head has flow figures at 28 inches of water pressure drop, with intake flow reaching up to 192 cfm at 0.6 inches of valve lift and exhaust flow reaching up to 138 cfm at the same lift. This head is known for its performance in the Jeep 4.0L engines from 1991 to 1995” so the filter should not be limiting.
