Had my first jeep back in college. 98 TJ, 2.5 5 speed, slow as hell but I loved it.
No jeep for years because life, work, etc. gets going as it does.
Last year I decided I may want another 4 cylinder like my college jeep because I have no rock crawling plans. More back road riding and the occasional fire road trip here and there. The one I bought ended up being a rust poster child. Bought in a hurry, didn't do my due diligence as I should, sold it and took a loss a year later.
Now we are here at #shortbus. I decided if I was going to get another Jeep at 42 years old, I may as well find a rust free, not crazy modified, clean Jeep. Then I found #shortbus. Never had a yellow ride in my life or even considered the color but here we are.
It's an 05 Rubi with a 6-speed. No body/frame rust with 84000 miles. I am starting this not because I am going to dump a ton of money into a lot of crazy stuff in this thing but more to document whatever I do for myself.
Looking forward to tinkering with it, driving it, and relying on this forum like I did in college if/when and issue arises.
