She said she and her friends tried a wrench, but could not get them to budge due to the rust

Tell her to take it to a shop to get them off. It will be a lot less expensive now than when she rounds out the nut.

the right penetrating fluid and it wont be an issue. my jeep is 20 years old from the prairies and covered in rust. i let those nuts soak in wurth rost off ice for 24 hours (sprayed them 3 times) and they came off with no effort at all. (could not be turned previously) the right tools and equipment negate the need for a shop for soemthing this dick simple.
