I am considering replacing the factory pumps with ARB pump, I have one on the shelf. I have heard that the Rubi lockers run at a lower pressure than ARB, so I am curious if any of you guys have done this already, I am fighting to be able to keep the lockers locked, and I have replaced both pumps twice already in the last year, i am getting sick of those POS.

You will need to reliably regulate the pressure down to about 3psi and also have the ARB shut off and hold that pressure.

Are you sure the factory pumps are the actual problem?

When I was reading about going to central on board air, it was pointed out that the factory lockers run at 5 psi and the ARB unit would blow them apart. I suppose you could probably run it if you bought a micro air regulator.

Is your pump not working or not maintaining pressure? My front locker wouldn't engage and it turned out the steel elbow that goes into the diff had pinholes in it.

I sealed it with epoxy and it has been fine since.

He has one or more leaks elsewhere in the system. The pumps are likely not the problem.

I've been digging into this, I see the issue with the ARB system and PSI. I replaced both pumps about 2 months ago, and now they are acting up again, the previous owner was pretty hard on this thing, I think it was dunked in mud pretty bad. I think there is an electrical harness issue now as well, as the connectors (plugs) were pretty corroded, i eliminated them and hard wired the pumps, now only the front pump runs, I am leaving for a trip tomorrow, so I am in a time crunch at this point, I am looking at manually locking the air bladder with a hand pump when I need them.. the fitting on the diff popped right out, and was junk, I am brazing some brass fittings together today for that.

Just thinking now, if there was an air leak, if the pump ran too long and burned out...

My Locker lights have always flashed, the Previous owner has the wiring bypassed so the lockers will actually run with the key off, 2wd, 4wd... I will probably be looking into getting a replacement harness that is not cobbled.
