Rubber floor kits

Anyone install one of the after market rubber floor kits to replace the carpeting and how do you like it? Is it quieter/louder/the same as carpet?

I went with bed tred. Originally I was going to go with just bedlining my tub, but after reading all the helpful advice on here about the heat transfer and road noise, I decided to go with there knowledge. I have yet to install it, I just finally finished fixing my floor pans and drilling out all the broken seat bolts (4 left handed drill bits later), but these guys on here know there stuff and without them I'd be more lost than I already am.

Came across your post researching the Armolite. Any review now that you've had it for a bit? I have a standard transmission and have an email in to the manufacture to see if their kit fits that application.

Love it. Wouldn’t have anything else. I only have the front and back seat flooring but WILL do the wheel well covers and the rear bed area soon. Fantastic product. Can’t recommend it enough. Ask if you have specific questions!

Thanks! Looked like the best thing I saw out there, was just curious what you thought after instal and use. Thanks for the reply! Will be ordering one soon.

They never seem to have the Tred on sale that I've noticed.

Yea I agree. With a couple products recently (coverking, bestop) I simply called the company and asked if they could help me with the price (what a cheapskate 😆). Both gave me 10% or more off over the phone. When I called bedrug...they said a couple times a year they have a sale on the bedtred. I went ahead purchased without discount bc I needed it now (carpet and associated insulation was literally wet for 4 weeks without drying out. Gross.) and who knows how long it would be till I caught that sale. They also wouldn't give any hints on when it would happen next.

So it looks like everyone prefers a fabric floor material as opposed to all rubber. My carpet is in good condition so maybe I should just keep it and go with some good liners. If my carpet is in good shape is there any advantage at all to taking it out and replacing with bedrug or similar?
I originally had in mind an all rubber kit like this, with no carpet: https://www.factoryinteriors.com/news/jeep-wrangler-tj-vinyl-rubber-floor-liner/

edit: The Armorlite product looks to be what I am thinking about.

WeatherTech liners on top of good carpet should be fine. The liners fit well and keep almost everything off the carpet. I love mine. They look nice!

The advantage of BedRug is it repels liquids, and it looks better than OEM carpet IMHO. The piece that fits the rear tailgate is nice. I suspect BedRug is doing a decent job cutting down heat and noise.

Your Jeep is too clean inside. (y) I vacuum mine out every few months. I'm ashamed of myself now. :(

have had bedtread for two years and it has held up fairly well. not sure it’s worth the price paid though. would replace it with the armorlite as it looks to be a better product.

It’s expensive but definitely worth it. I want to do the rear and wheel wells as well but that’ll have to wait. Got a vacation to pay for! I’ll get the back installed in a few months.

looking good! looks way better than my bedtread. bedtread was expensive but, i may have to upgrade one day.

So the lost packaged with the rear portion of the flooring arrived. Since Armolite had already replaced it with another, I asked if they wanted it back and they said shipping was too much. So... I have half a flooring kit that I'd be wiling to gift it to someone for the cost of shipping. For a complete kit you'd need to buy the front flooring portion which is $392. The extra rear flooring I have is sold for $308. I never opened the second box so it's ready to ship. If your in PDX could be a local pickup. Here is a link to the page with the products. https://goarmorlite.com/collections/98-06-wrangler-tj-2-dr . The rep told me the flooring fits any TJ or LJ model. I'm really hoping it would go to someone who is working on their rig and not someone trying to flip it for profit. Message me if your interested.

I installed the Armolite product this weekend. I'm very happy with the quality and the fit. Looks great. It was pretty easy to install.

Part of the origonal shipment was lost by UPS. Armolites customer service was great and they shipped out a replacement quickly.

What did you think of the road noise afterwards.. did this flooring drop it? I’d say my TJR with Goodyear Kevlar MTR’s is loud inside about 7-8 on 1-10 scale?
