Rough Country track bar question

I would have installed one more bolt and nut ant the top and wouldn’t have welded anything.but yes it is not needed at all for that short lift.

Yea my drill wouldn’t fit up there to drill the top hole for the bolt, so I just filled it full of weld lol.

I need pics NOW!

Flux core 0.0035" on used exhaust when you're lazy about cleaning up the welds, and voilà!

and also if you're wondering, no, I didn't get SS wire for that flex pipe

Ouch,invest in a 1/2 belt sander!

Haha. The build was running thin on budget and I don't need cats where I live so this was just something to get it done. Took a bend off an Audi exhaust, flex pipe, then the rest is all salvaged of a Scion TC. 50$ exhaust! Well unless you count the header...

Once it's titled I plan on doing something better 🤣 definitely my boogeriest welds. First time doing any exhaust anything.

Actually this isn't my Jeep fwiw. MR2 engine swap. And 0 cats required where I live! No emissions, no inspections, nothing. A little bit of freedom 🙂 one of my goals last time I moved was to move somewhere without that BS

NO. You need to remove that drop bracket. One good smack with a hammer should break those welds. ;)
p.s. I bought a Jeep with that RC bracket and a dropped pitman arm. It handled like crap. I removed both of them and all was well again.

Agree @Boogieman! @Obsdude - I had bad DW and several worn-out parts with the RC mount with stock pitman arm from PO. The FIRST thing we did was remove the bracket, and ride was much smoother by getting the adjustable track bar. The heim joint may need to go now as well, now that I know more about what to look for and what best for my needs since mine is a daily driver. GOOD LUCK on the welding!
